Cape May Cottage
This one was more difficult to assemble. The roof required I add pieces to cover the tabs, as I was unable to sand them. Again I did this in 2006 with water-based paint.

the cottage transformed
This is a cute little house but I didn't want a cottage. I made a foundation for it out of layered cardboard and used miniature brick paper to make it look real. I painted the house like a Victorian Lady and though it is small it is very classy. I also added a complete attic floor so the second story room had ceilings. Another modification I made was to cut doorways on both floors. I thought it very odd that the walls were just solid with no doors. I printed out paper shingles to paper the roof with and made stairs from the front porch to ground level. This is the doll house that will be in the little girl's bedroom in the big house. I painted the house a soft green to match the little girl's bedroom and it looks perfect.
