Miniatures.com makes use of "cookies", which are small pieces of information that make your shopping experience with us more convenient and personalized. Usage of cookies is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. It is these cookies that allow us to maintain your shopping basket and to distinguish the areas of our site that are most popular from those that may need some attention from us. How do I register for a miniatures.com account?
To create a miniatures.com account, simply go to "Login / Register," located in the top section of any page, complete the New Customers form and create a password to use for your account login. Your user name is your email address.
What's required when creating a username and password?
When creating a username and password at registration, provide your email address and use a unique combination of letters and/or numbers for your password, avoid using spaces and symbols. Your password must be at least 6 characters long and you must include at least one uppercase letter, lowercase letter, and non-letter.
Why is providing my email address important?
Our new system uses your email address to provide for better authentication, order history and order confirmation. Please keep your email address up-to-date.
About your miniatures.com account
How can I change my personal information?
Changing your personal information is quick and easy. After logging in, go to "My Account" then "Manage Address Book". Your information will appear for you to edit accordingly. Once finished, click "save".
Can I save my order now and submit later?
Yes, the option to save your shopping cart is available to all miniatures.com account holders. You can shop now, add later and return the next day to submit your order!
What is a Wish List?
A "Wish List" is a place to save your favorite items.
How can I add items to my wish list?
To add an item to your wish list, simply click the "Add To Wish List" button next to the item you would like to add. Then, click "My Wish List" from any point on the site to review your favorites. You can save as many items as you would like in your Wish List. Please note that placing an item in your Wish List does not "reserve" it. You must complete the checkout process in order to guarantee purchase of that item. This is of particular importance when dealing with closeout and sale items which tend to move quickly.
How do I move items from my wish list to my shopping cart?
When you are ready to order an item, choose "Add To Cart" to add the item to your Shopping Cart.
I forgot my username and password, how can I find out what I used?
With so many on-line accounts these days, it is quite natural to forget your username and password. Remember your email address is your username. To obtain your miniatures.com password, simply click the "Login / Register" button in the top left corner of the home page, then click on "Forgot User Name or Password?" and complete the form. Your password will be emailed to you instantly! If the system was unable to retrieve your password, email us at email@example.com.
How do I log off?
Click the logout button in the top left corner. Our site will also automatically log you off after 60 minutes or you can simply close your browser.
Redeeming special offers and discounts
Where can I find my Bonus Dollar coupon number to redeem my Bonus Dollar amount at check out?
Your Bonus Dollar coupon number will appear on your order confirmation email. You can also view the Bonus Dollar coupon number for a specific order via your order history when signed into your miniatures.com account.
How can I redeem Bonus Dollars from my previous online order?
To redeem Bonus Dollar credit from a previous online order, first place an order of $75 net (net refers to the subtotal before any shipping or taxes are added) or greater before the expiration date. When checking out you will find a "Bonus Dollar Coupon" box in the "Payment Information" section. Click the "Apply" button associated with the Bonus Dollar certificate you wish to utilize.
What is a coupon code? Where should I enter it?
A coupon code, also known as a media code, may automatically appear depending upon how you originally came to our site. If you prefer to use an alternate code, simply delete the existing code, type in the code from the promotional piece or the back of the catalog you prefer to use in the coupon code box on the check out or payment page, and click the "apply" button. If no coupon code appears and you do not have a code, simply leave blank. Promotional coupon codes will prohibit you from using Bonus Dollars.
Can I use bonus dollars and other discounts with my Internet discount?
You may use bonus dollars with your Internet discount; however, you cannot combine other coupons, discounts or special offers with the standard Internet 10% discount.
Can I use a gift certificate online?
You can use eGift certificates on web orders. A family member or a friend can email an eGift certificate to you!
How do I remove items from my shopping cart?
Removing items from your shopping cart is as easy as 1-2-3. Simply click the delete button next to the item in the shopping cart.
I've added items to my shopping cart, but there are no items in the cart. How can I prevent this from happening?
Make sure you are logged into your account. If you are adding items from a list, before proceeding to the next page click add to cart before moving to the next page.
I'm having problems using your online ordering system. How can I place my order?

To check the status of your order, sign-in, then click "My Account" located in the masthead at the top of the page. Please allow at least 24-hours after submission to view your order placed online. Is my credit card information saved under my profile?
HBS does not permanently save credit card information on any computer system which is directly accessible via the Internet beyond the duration of time required to process an order.
What is TBD?
To Be Determined (TBD) will appear under "Order Summary" and on the Shipping line item if you request Two-Day Air delivery (shipping to an address within the 48 contiguous United States) with a dollhouse in your shopping cart or if you are shipping to a Canadian, AK, HI, Am. Samoa, Guam, P.R. or the U.S.V.I. address with a dollhouse in your shopping cart or shipping to any International address. We will contact you via email or phone with your specific Shipping charge. Only after you approve these charges will we charge your credit card and ship the order. What is credit card verification code?
Card Verification Value (CVV) provides an additional level of online fraud protection. The number is located on your credit card and is generally three to four digits long. MasterCard, Visa, Discover - a three digit non-embossed number on the back of the card printed within the signature panel after the account number. AMEX - a four digit non-embossed number on the face of the card, just above the embossed account number.
Will I receive an email confirmation at the time of order placement?
Yes, after each order, you will receive a confirmation number along with a confirmation email detailing all items ordered and Bonus Dollar information (if applicable).
I didn't receive a confirmation number, did my order go through?
In order to receive a confirmation number, you must continue through each page until a receipt with your confirmation number is issued.
How do you qualify for free shipping?
We pay for shipping on orders $200 net and over!

Possibly, first, check the item number and/or keyword entered. The product could be sold out or not yet added to the site.
Will I be able to find the same information in the catalog and on the website?
The website contains the same products and information as the catalog, plus more.
What is MDF?
MDF-Medium Density Fiberboard-is a wood-based composite material that draws on the usage of wood fibers, rather than particles or veneers, to produce sheet materials. This type of wood is sturdy and has good weathering properties. MDF features:

- Smooth-requires minimal sanding

- Harder surface than plywood

Most of our products are 1/12 scale (a.k.a. 1" scale [1" = 1']). All other scales (1/24, 1/48, 1/144, and Playscale) appear in the Shop By Scale section.
