Description

A Houseworks innovation has fine-tuned the concept of battery-operated dollhouse lighting! This well designed, high-quality brass/metal fixture has a smaller battery case which unscrews to access a smaller battery. Everything has been made even easier because the base is magnetized! To install, just glue the tiny metal backplate where you want the fixture and the magnet on the light will keep it in place. The magnets are strong enough to hold but light enough to remove to operate the on/off switch or change the battery. No more fumbling with a permanently installed tiny fixture! The 3V lithium battery which is included is replaceable with #2300. The 3V lithium battery will last approximately 50 hours. The white LED is not replaceable but will burn for about 4,000 hours and put out much less heat than traditional bulbs.

The Hamilton Black Coach Sconce has no panes.

3/4"Dia. back plate x 1 5/8"H

Quality light!
Houseworks comes through once again with this wonderful porch sconce! I am very pleased with mine. It's a substantial weight, and it's made of good, quality-feeling metal. It comes with a metal plate apart from the sconce itself, which has strong magnets on its back. The metal plate has adhesive backing, however, I prefer to go ahead and use strong glue to mount the plate where I wish, as the adhesive alone doesn't always want to stay "stuck" to the surface on which it is mounted(It could be due to my dollhouse paint/finish- Just my observation). The magnetic feature is fabulous, as it aides in reaching and/or removing the fixture long enough to turn it on or off or change batteries. Here's a hint for those of you wishing to soften the glow of the LED bulb to resemble a candle or gas flame: Dab a permanent yellow and/or orange marker directly onto the bulb (easy to do as there are no panes on this sconce) until you achieve the "look" you desire.
