A Houseworks innovation has fine-tuned the concept of battery-operated dollhouse lighting! This well designed, high-quality brass/metal fixture has a smaller battery case which unscrews to access a smaller battery. Everything has been made even easier because the base is magnetized! To install, just glue the tiny metal backplate where you want the fixture and the magnet on the light will keep it in place. The magnets are strong enough to hold but light enough to remove to operate the on/off switch or change the battery. No more fumbling with a permanently installed tiny fixture! The 3V lithium battery which is included is replaceable with #2300. The 3V lithium battery will last approximately 50 hours. The white LED is not replaceable but will burn for about 4,000 hours and put out much less heat than traditional bulbs.

The Norwich Ceiling Lamp has a frosted glass tulip shade.

greenish light
I thought I had found the perfect ceiling light for a small area in my dollhouse. It's so pretty! Then I turned the light on in the room and saw that it glowed a green light making the whole room look weird. I guess I'll have to keep looking.

Adorable but dim
I ordered one of these lights for an Aster Cottage I am decorating. The ceiling on the ground floor is very low, so there were few battery-operated lights that would look good. This little light looks adorable, and the short rod puts it at a good height for the cottage. I find the bulb itself too dim and too yellow, however, and it makes my dollhouse look creepy rather than warm and cozy. It is a shame that the bulb cannot be replaced. If Houseworks puts a more neutral bulb in this light, I would definitely purchase it again for my next house. Otherwise, I will look elsewhere.
