Description

The factory that makes these brick sheets accidentally attached the wrong label to the package so we cannot sell them as perfect. Their mistake saves you $14.00 per sheet.

Although these brick sheets are technically 1/24 scale, our incredibly talented staff miniaturist, Fran, highly recommends them for use in a variety of 1/12 scale scenes. "Because of the herringbone pattern and irregular shape and size of the bricks, it is almost better in 1/12 than 1/24."

Here are some suggested uses:
  • An outdoor patio or garden walkway
  • A hearth or fireplace interior
  • An 'Old World' kitchen floor
  • As accent panels in a chimney
  • In a Tudor-styled structure filling some panels on a beam & stucco exterior

The rubber like composition of this faux stone sheet makes it easy to apply leaving no wrinkles or gaps. It is easily cut with scissors or a craft knife.

To Glue
Fran suggests using Grandmother Stover's glue when adhering to a horizontal (flat) surface. Apply and smooth a thin layer with something like an old credit card, then lay the sheet down. This glue allows plenty of working time.
For a vertical*(wall) application, use Quick Grip or Multi-Grip, but the application process is critical. The glue must be applied thinly (as with Grandmother Stover's), and you must work quickly. Glue too thick will make the sheet bubble and soften; working too slowly means poor adhesion and/or stretching of the sheet where an already adhered area meets the newly applied glue. So, if it's a fairly large area, plan to work in sections, apply glue and smooth it out to a thin layer very quickly, smooth the sheet into the glue and repeat.
*Due to the weight of the sheet, if possible, try to do the application in a horizontal position, let dry and then restore to the permanent location.
