Description

A Houseworks innovation has fine-tuned the concept of battery-operated dollhouse lighting! This well designed, high-quality brass/metal fixture has a smaller battery case which unscrews to access a smaller battery. Everything has been made even easier because the base is magnetized! To install, just glue the tiny metal backplate where you want the fixture and the magnet on the light will keep it in place. The magnets are strong enough to hold but light enough to remove to operate the on/off switch or change the battery. No more fumbling with a permanently installed tiny fixture! The 3V lithium battery which is included is replaceable with #2300. The 3V lithium battery will last approximately 50 hours. The LED is not replaceable but will burn for about 4,000 hours and put out much less heat than traditional bulbs.

The Crawley Wall Sconce has a frosted glass tulip shade.

Look good but don't light well
I have to agree with the reviewer about the green light, which is sickly. The sconce looks nice when unlit. These battery powered lights are all at least $20 and for that, please have a battery that is not dead. I sometimes have a hard time finding replacement batteries in stores. I do like the magnet feature.

Battery Powered Crawley Wall Sconce
The new generation battery sconces look really good. A smaller battery chamber allows for a more proportional lamp design & a lighter weight fixture. The magnetic system will also make it possible to change out fixtures for decorating changes. The Big problem is the color of the LED. It is definitely green. Unlit, the shade is white, but lit, the light is green. This major bit of information should be included in the description.

Dead & Dying Batteries
I ordered 2 of these & was excited to receive them. Until I opened them & turned them on: on one the battery dead & the other was half dead. I re-read the description to double check the info and there is no warning that the sealed packages may contain run down or dead batteries. The lights them selves are great. Love them. When I get new batteries I'll be able to use them.
