Excellent beginners house.
I have made a couple of these. They are very easy to modify. The last one I finished was made to look like a Texas farmhouse. I up graded all the windows, the door and the stairs. I also reversed the stairs so it would be easier for the doll to go up and down. The only issue is that it is made with thin wood and is not as sturdy as I would like it, but I fixed that with adding supports to the base. But all and all it is a good dollhouse to build.

I must have built a half dozen or so of the Arthur! All painted different, I also left the top trim off and just used regular roof ridge trim! It looked much better!! On 2 though, I found a trim that had a nice leaf pattern on it, so using 2 lengths, made my own roof ridge! Then Painted the leafs to match the rest of the trim!!

A good starter house.
So far I've built three Arthurs and the house goes together very nicely. I did't use the original roof trim as it looks much too heavy for the house. Other than that, the house was easy to put together and all my nieces love their houses and play with them often.....not much more you can say than that! It's a great starter house kit for anyone just getting into doll houses, and at a great price. The four big rooms make it very "playable", after all isn't that what it's for?
