These octagon butt shingles by Houseworks are made of top-quality unfinished New Zealand pine! Covers approximately 76 square inches. Reverse these shingles to use as square butt! Also, they can be stained or painted.

	by Doc on 2/16/2011	Decent but tempermental. These shingles are quality made and do a decent job of dressing up a dollhouse. However, they are tempermental in use. They tend to buckle and warp with the use of both wood glue and hot glue, so if you use these shingles, you need to know this. I applied them first with a glue gun, and then wood glue and the results were the same: I found that I could only do a few shingles at a time, hold them flat down in place and tape them down while the wood glue dried, or when I used the glue gun. Otherwise, they warped and lifted up. Decent shingles but require a lot of work. They are also about 1/8" thick, which isn't given.
